South Western Sydney Local Health District (Bankstown Community Mental Health)
The Bankstown Community Mental Health Service provides mental health care to people living in suburbs within the Bankstown local government area.
Community Mental Health Emergency Team (CoMHET)
CoMHET provides a timely response for people experiencing an acute mental health needs in the community. CoMHET has strong care provision partnerships with emergency care services.
Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)
The Adult CMHT provides clinical services to people living in the community who have complex mental health needs and require ongoing care and management. This team works in partnership with general practitioners (GPs), non-government organisations and other health providers to provide a comprehensive package of care that meets consumers’ needs.
Assertive Outreach Team (AOT)
AOT provides a range of clinical and psychosocial services for consumers with persistent mental health disorders who require intensive support in the community setting.
Aboriginal Mental Health Workers
The Aboriginal Mental Health Workers provide a range of interventions and support for Aboriginal consumers of mental health services. The workers focus on consultation and liaison between staff and consumers, family engagement, advocacy and networking with other services to provide holistic care and support.
Bilingual Mental Health Professionals
An Arabic mental health professional is employed by the Mental Health Service, and some clinicians are proficient in other community languages.
Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP)
The Early Psychosis Service provides early intervention and specialist treatment services for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years who are experiencing first episode or recent onset psychosis.
Bankstown Anxiety Clinic
The Clinic provides psychological treatments for people 15 years and older who are experiencing anxiety and related disorders.
