CatholicCare Problem Gambling Counselling Service – Blacktown
CatholicCare Problem Gambling Counselling service assists individuals and/or their families who have been negatively impacted by gambling.
Individuals are assisted to identify triggers, underlying issues and establish strategies to maintain change.
Family members and loved ones will be able to learn more about coping with gambling behaviours and self-care.
Counsellors use a holistic, culturally appropriate and non-judgmental approach to help clients understand their situation better and help them find solutions that work best for them. Counsellors can also help with self-exclusions from Clubs and Pubs.
This is a free service and individuals can attend as many sessions as they may find helpful.
The Monday Yarn-up Problem Gambling Group at Emerton is open to problem gamblers and family members, as well as to anyone whose life has been impacted by problems associated with problem gambling. Weekly meetings usually last for one and a half hours and are led by a trained counsellor. Our support groups are free-of-charge and there is no need to book attendance.
